Competition is Good for the Customer
The iPhone no longer has the monopoly on the smart phone market. In fact, there are many users who prefer the Android platform. Whatever you’re preference, the race for the best and most complete all-in-one gadget means there’s pretty much nothing these phones can’t do. Photo quality has improved, the hardware is faster and hardier, the apps stores are bursting with options, and Google maps get you anywhere you want to go.
Along with gadget choices, ATT is no longer the sole provider of iPhone service. Verizon is in on the action, so customers will start to see some great deals as one provider tries to out sell the other.
If Not One Gadget, Then Maybe Two
For all the great things the smart phone will do, it is still too small for watching a good movie. Some people prefer tablets for games and movies, and others may go the practical route and buy a netbook. Netbooks are a little less expensive, but they are also a little more versatile. So far, the tablet isn’t the best choice for business travelers who need to type emails and documents fast. Think of one piece of hardware as a toy and the other as a necessity.
